The client is a Fortune 500 medical devices and manufacturing company based in USA. Their medical technologies specialize in implants used in joint replacement and trauma surgeries; surgical equipment and surgical navigation systems as well as other medical device products used in a variety of medical specialties. They have very wide range of products and are sold in over 100+ countries with a significant market share.
The company is very tech-savvy and leverages power of information technology with medical devices well. In the same line, our project is a perfect example of digital transformation of patient and surgeon’s experience in orthopedic treatment.

Orthopedic or any surgery requires preoperative monitoring and post-operative treatment which many a times needs to be served for long term critical care over multiple sessions by the surgeon and supporting staff. Pre and post-operative care, conditions and progress monitoring remotely plays a crucial role in treating the patient. We have worked with our customer’s R&D team and prepared a healthcare product for pre and post-operative Remote Automated Monitoring that can be of significant help to surgeons and patients in orthopedic treatment.
The software solution comprises of separate modules for Surgery clinic, Surgeon and Patient.
Clinic can manage doctor and patient schedule, pre-operative conditions, operation details, follow-up treatment remotely and system related configurations.
The surgeon can manage cases, treatment plan, history and progress, manage surgery videos and images, annotate them and also record new counselling storyboard for the patient.
Patients can view schedule and instructions for operation and follow-up treatment, doctor’s counselling story.
The solution records a complete surgery with a specially designed high resolution surgical camera. The recordings are streamed and managed on the secured cloud.
Very secure and horizontally scalable architecture that facilitates required compliances per the industry demand.
The cloud agnostic solution is designed such a way that it is compatible with AWS and Azure cloud services.
Created an abstract layer of code for each services being consumed. Few services are cross linked to other cloud services and then hosted.
The development and release are automated using CI/CD of DevOps practice. Single set up from code to server deploy. Seamless integration with TFS, GIT and different deployment environments.
