MyAir from a Finnish company Climecon is a unique technological innovation in intelligent ventilation. Intelligent and unique project idea- MyAir

Ventilation plays a significant role in comfortable living, no matter how luxurious the place is. If the heated air is not removed, we may experience drafts across the place. Climecon’s MyAir system offers an intelligent solution with need-based exhaust ventilation, which automatically adjust the ventilation with the rhythm of living. The remote monitoring system balances the airflow and ensures the optimal functioning of the ventilation. When the ventilation gets balanced, there will not be any draft in apartments, and it does not need to be compensated with heating. The problem areas are detected using the information collected by meters and are located quickly. By clever alerts, the building owner can spot water leakage in time for example.

The MyAir system works through ventilation, exhaust air valves, and pressure differential meters connected to the LoRa® network. It enables comprehensive and wireless ventilation management in buildings with a light and easy retrofit installation. 

Climecone MyAir Project – Roadblocks

Climecon has years of experience in ventilation terminal devices and their development, but they needed someone with relevant expertise in developing wireless and intelligent solutions for the MyAir system. Earlier approaches towards other partners did not work due to slower processes, exceeding the project budget requirement, and partial ownership.

Gateway Digital – The right partner for IoT product development

Climecon started looking for a new partner who would be cost-effective, flexible, and able to manage a demanding project. In addition, the partner needs to have enough interdisciplinary expertise, as the MyAir solution contains different technologies.

“We wanted a partner who could guide us through this endeavor. IoT technology is not our strongest asset” says Antti Rytivaara, Climecon’s product manager. Ultimately, the decision came down to Gateway Digital because of the price, efficiency, and extensive technical expertise offered by the Gateway Group.

Gateway Digital has a Finnish organization, but Climecon’s development work has been handled from India since the beginning. The decision to outsource the actual development work outside the borders of Finland was not easy for Climecon, and many things were left to chance.

“We wondered if the communication was going well enough. Outsourcing was to some extent a leap into the unknown,” says Antti Rytivaara.

The fears turned out to be unfounded, and the cooperation worked brilliantly. The teams collaborated with clients successfully through digital mediums.
